Of all the Momus masks, the "america is scary" one is my favorite.

Thanks.

You don't understand. Americans are stupid, faceless masses of sheep that buy into mass consumerism and capitalism and are therefore to be abhorred and shunned.

But when they ignore or cast aspersions upon European WISDOM (i.e., the global warming/CO2 canard), then Americans aren't rejecting Eurogroupthink mass hysteria...they're "unenlightened."

We just can't win. But who cares what people with no jobs think of us?

>We just can't win. But who cares what people with no jobs think of us?

who cares what we, in the US, with no jobs, would think of ourselves?

that would be us, and our psychotherapists, with a mixture of
concern, for both ourselves and their disappearing paycheck...

I don't have a job? Brilliant. No need to get up early tomorrow morning. Thanks cerulicante, I can leave the working thing to you self-pitying Yanks from now on.

But will I still get my rather generous European paycheck though? Probably, if my evil secretly socialist employers continue to have their way... [cue manic laughter, fall of civilisation, etc etc]
