Problems are distractions from the essence of something, someone, or some place, not a key to understanding it.

When you put other people's houses in order, that's called war.


I fundamentally disagree. I think you are confusing / conflating critical comprehension with war. You would not be a turncoat Japanese cab driver. No-one's going to go war on the back of what you thought you overheard in the back of your cab.

Problems, of course, do not offer the whole picture - but they are the 'tells' of a society's fundamental basis (as you occasionally appear to believe yourself... when you are not wrapped up in your retro-necro 'revolutionary' rhetoric). The cultural wonderfulness you are such of fan of happens *in spite* of a society's economy (whatever that economy is), not fundamentally because of it.
